“L’ICONICA
SUOLA ROSSA
SEGNA LA CARRIERA
DEL DESIGNER
DI MIRABOLANTI
CALZATURE.”
Step by step, the king of footwear with the unmistakable
lacquer red sole, wins a place of honor in Paris in an
exceptional location where it is possible to admire the
most emblematic shoes developed in thirty years of ca-
reer. For the exhibition entitled “L’exhibition (niste)” open
the doors of the Palais de la Porte Dorée, an extremely
beautiful building in pure Liberty style, a symbolic place
for Louboutin where he began his fascination for art as
well as the approach to decorum. “Abstract and f gurative
motifs have formed an unconscious repertoire of shapes,
colors and textures that have never stopped inf uencing
my imagination”. And again, the f rst intuition of designing
shoes with heels, just twelve years old looking at a sign
that prohibited them in the museum. Eleven thematic ro-
oms, between paints, rhinestones and feathers, from the
revolutionary Nudes, f esh-colored footwear thought to be
an extension of the female legs and up to the fetish mo-
dels signed with the collaboration of David Lynch. On all
the inevitable signature of a red sole.
