The farewell to the catwalks in 2005, the return to fa-
shion in 2020, when the Viennese designer Helmut
Lang announces a limited edition of t-shirts for the
retrospective exhibition at the Moca-Museum of con-
temporary art in Westport, United States, next summer.
Passionate about art as mush as clothes, the creative
mind, champion of minimalism, through the exhibited
sculptures tell the evolution of his career: “In a career
change, in a change in personal relationships or in a
growth in beliefs, we get rid of a past and rebuild a new
self. The former stylist looks only to the future, shred-
ding the products of his past life and using those raw
materials to compose new forms of beauty”, explained
the curator Todd von Ammon.
